HP Officejet Pro 6975

I just found out my 2yr son has been turning the switch from my outlet on and off and now my printer is giving me this error 0x6100004a,  I really dont want to buy a new one I'm thinking this could ha e and easy fix but I've tried everything I  can and nothing, I did the factory reset and unplugging to see if the cartridges go back and for6but they won't even move.... idk what to do....

@Kmorales1, Welcome to the HP Support Community! I’m here to help.

 

I understand you are not able to use the printer due to this 0x error. To assist you better, is the printer stuck at this error?

If not, then we can perform a factory reset on the printer to resolve this issue. You should be able to access the home screen of the printer to do this.

 

On the printer control panel display, from the Home screen, swipe left to select Setup

Touch Tools, touch  Restore Factory Defaults and then follow the onscreen instructions.

 

If the printer is stuck on the error, check for any jams inside the printer, refer to - Paper Jam Error

Make sure the print carriage is moving freely - Carriage jam or E3 error

 

If the error persists, I'm afraid this is a hardware failure. Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer. 

 

If the printer is out of warranty, I suggest you upgrade the printer. You may visit Hp Store to check the available printers.
