HP LaserJet MFP M236dw Printer

Hello,

Suddenly the printer M236dw stopped working and the front panel shows 49.

The printer is available (network ping) for about a minute after start.

Resetting to factory defaults doesn't help.

Please help

Hello Elohi,

Thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately, the document you shared is not related to the printer I have. Your document is about Enterprise printers.

I have HP LaserJet M236dw printer. I can only do EEPROM reset with 2 buttons pressed simultaneously - "Power" + "Download" (Arrow) buttons. I tried it a few times and it didn't help - at first I got Error 77 and then a minute later I got error 49 again. Then the printer reboots and returns to error 49 and orange blinking LED indicator.

Is there any other software solution or it can be considered as hardware failure (formatter is dead??)? Frankly, I'm very frustrated to got this problem of HP hardware. It's a brand new printer I didn't even used a lot.

With the best regards,

Marat
