I have a inkjet 8034e printer that has the error code of C4BE1100 that will not go away.  Can't even turn it off.  Have to unplug it and when I plug it back in I get the same error.  Printer is not even a year old.

Hi @Tlmcin2,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting the C4EB1100 error on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8034e typically indicates a hardware or firmware issue. Here are steps you can try to troubleshoot this:

1. Perform a Hard Reset

  • Unplug the printer's power cable while it is still on.
  • Disconnect any USB or Ethernet cables.
  • Wait about 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cable back in and turn the printer on.
  • Check if the error persists.

2. Clear Ink System Issues

  • Open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Remove each ink cartridge and then reinstall it to ensure it’s seated properly.
  • Close the access door and see if the error goes away.

3. Check for Firmware Updates Update the firmware on an HP printer

  • If the printer responds at all, update the firmware through the HP Smart app or HP’s website by downloading the latest firmware for your printer model.

4. Reset the Printer to Factory Settings (if accessible)

  • If you can access the printer menu, navigate to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Restore.
  • Choose to restore factory defaults.

Refer to this document: HP OfficeJet Pro 8034e All-in-One Printer User manual

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
