Hi @DjDGolD,

Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. For you to have the best experience on the HP forum, you could also visit our HP Forums Guide for the First Time Here? As I understand you are getting a '0X' error message on your HP OfficeJet 4650 printer. Don't worry as I have a few steps to help you get through this concern,

To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:

Did you make any changes on the printer before the issue started?

Do you get this error on the printer screen or on the computer screen?

What is the Operating system installed on the PC?

Have you tried to update the firmware on the printer?

In the meantime, let's start off by performing a Hard reset on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.

Remove all the ink cartridges and then try to perform a hard reset on the printer.

With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

Remove USB cable, if present.

Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.

Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.

Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.

Now insert the ink cartridges and then try to print a test page and check if it works.

If your printer connected wirelessly, make sure to temporary connect the device with USB and then follow the link to check for the latest firmware update if available for your printer, using this website

For more details, please follow the steps suggested in the support document for - HP Officejet Printers - 'Ink System Failure' Error Displays

If nothing works, I would suggest the next step would be to perform an advanced reset on the printer.

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

Let me know if that helps. Thank you!

Cheers

I am having this same problem. I have followed all your directions and nothing is working. Also it was clearly stated in the first person's comment that the ink cartridges are locked to the right so that they cant be removed yet in your response you directed him to remove them. Can I please get a response that takes into consideration what i've already said i cannot do?

Hi.

If you've gotten NOS_LOADER_APP error code either 0x83C0000A or 0X83C0002B, try Dougie44's solution from here:

https://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Inkjet-Printing/HP-Envy-4500-suddenly-came-up-with-ERROR-CODE-0x83C000...

that is open the lid below the scanner to access the printer cartridges while holding the power button for about 1 minute (and keep that lid open for a while until something else happens).

Doug's solution worked when I got the dreaded NOS_LOADER_APP error message when turning on my relative's HP Officejet 4630 printer.  It should also work with other printer models like the 4500 and 4650 series when getting that error message.

I have tried All that was suggested & nothing worked.
