Hi @Newbie322,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error code 0XB8D71066 on an HP OfficeJet 5258 printer indicates a problem with the printer's firmware or software. This error code can occur due to several reasons, such as outdated firmware, connectivity issues, or corrupted printer drivers.

To troubleshoot this error code, you can try the following solutions.

  • Restart your printer: Turn off the printer, unplug the power cord, wait for a few minutes, and then plug the power cord back in and turn on the printer.
  • Update the firmware: Check for any available firmware updates for your printer on the HP website and download and install them.
  • Check the connectivity: Make sure that the printer is properly connected to your computer or network. Check the Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection and try reconnecting them.
  • Reinstall printer drivers: Uninstall the existing printer drivers from your computer and reinstall the latest version of the printer drivers.
  • Reset the printer: Press and hold the power button on the printer for at least 15 seconds, then release the button to reset the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
