My printer is giving me an error message "the printhead appears missing, not detected, or incorrectly installed"

I tried all the steps that were mentioned in the help, including buying over $150 worth of new ink cartilage, 

It is still not working.  I tried to contact HP to get a new print head.. there is no way to find a number or contact information.  Yes, the printer is out of warranty, but this doesn't mean I cannot fix it..  It is a real shame to throw the printer and buy another one.  It is very lightly used.  

To be honest, I am thinking of moving away from HP and buying something else.

Any advice is highly appreciated

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details).
