Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code B8BE1F00 on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8730 accompanied by a blue screen and flashing power button typically indicates a firmware or hardware failure. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Power Reset the Printer

This helps clear temporary hardware or firmware glitches.

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord from both the printer and the wall outlet.
  • Wait for at least 60 seconds.
  • Plug the power cord directly into a wall outlet (avoid power strips or surge protectors).
  • Reconnect the power cord to the printer and turn it on.

If the printer powers on normally, the issue may have been a temporary glitch.

Check for Firmware Recovery Mode

If the printer still shows the blue screen:

  • Press and hold the Power button for 10–15 seconds.
  • If the printer enters Firmware Recovery Mode, follow the on-screen instructions or use the HP Smart app to reinstall firmware.

Update Firmware (if accessible)

If the printer starts normally:

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
