Hi @CS-55
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
The error code 0xb80586aa on your HP Smart 651 printer typically indicates a connection issue between your printer and the HP Smart app or an issue with the printer’s software/firmware.
Here are steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the error:
1. Restart Your Printer and Devices
- Turn off the printer and unplug it from the power source.
- Wait for about 30 seconds and then plug the printer back in and turn it on.
- Restart the device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) that you're using the HP Smart app on.
2. Ensure a Stable Internet Connection
- Ensure that both your printer and smart device/computer are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
- Make sure your Wi-Fi connection is stable and has a strong signal. A weak or intermittent connection can cause errors like this.
3. Check Printer Firmware
- Outdated firmware can sometimes cause connectivity issues. Check if your printer needs a firmware update.
- Open the HP Smart app, and check for any available firmware updates for your printer.
- If no update option appears in the app, you can visit the HP support website to manually check and update the printer’s firmware.
4. Reinstall the HP Smart App
- There may be an issue with the app itself. Try uninstalling and then reinstalling the HP Smart app on your device.
- For smartphones/tablets: Go to your app store (Google Play or Apple App Store), uninstall the app, and then reinstall it.
- For computers: Uninstall the app from your Control Panel (Windows) or Applications folder (macOS), then download the latest version from the HP website or the app store.
5. Remove and Re-add Printer in HP Smart
- In the HP Smart app, try removing the printer and then re-adding it:
- Open the HP Smart app, go to Printers.
- Select your printer and look for an option to remove it from the app.
- After removing it, add the printer back by following the setup instructions in the app.
I hope this helps.
