Hi @Sonua, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
That stubborn E0 error is standing between you and your print job like a locked door, but don’t worry, I’ve got the key! Let’s troubleshoot this step by step and get your printer back in action.
1. Check the HP Smart App for Detailed Error Messages
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Look for any specific cartridge-related error messages.
2. Reseat the Ink Cartridges
- Turn on the printer and open the cartridge access door.
- Wait for the cartridges to stop moving, then remove both the black and color cartridges.
- Reinsert them securely until they click into place.
- Close the access door and check if the error is resolved.
3. Clean the Cartridge Contacts
- Turn off the printer and unplug it.
- Remove the ink cartridges and gently clean the metal contacts using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
- Allow them to dry before reinserting.
4. Use Genuine HP Ink Cartridges
- Ensure you're using genuine HP cartridges. Third-party or refilled cartridges might cause errors.
- If you're enrolled in HP Instant Ink, make sure your subscription is active.
5. Perform a Power Reset
- Turn off the printer and unplug it for 60 seconds.
- Plug it back in, turn it on, and check if the error persists.
6. Replace the Faulty Cartridge (If needed)
- If the error continues, the faulty cartridge (black or color) might need replacement.
- Try replacing the cartridge that corresponds to the blinking ink level icon.
7. Update Printer Firmware
- Go to HP Support and check for available firmware updates for your printer.
- Install any updates and restart the printer.
With a little patience and the right steps, we’ll have your printer behaving again in no time! If the error persists, just let me know, I’ve got more tricks up my sleeve. 🔧🖨️
Hope I was able to make things easier for you! 😊

Hi @MFondren002,
Thank you for the response.
I understand how frustrating this must be. Let's try one more step please check with a replacement cyan cartridge to see if the copier prints correctly.
If that doesn’t help, it may be a hardware issue, and we might need to look into replacing the printer.
I'm here to help you through this!
