Hi @Mattbr7,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you're facing a persistent error with a device, possibly a printer, as "E4" often indicates issues such as a paper jam or sensor problems in many printer models. Since you've already checked for paper jams and dust and followed various recommendations without success, here are a few additional steps you might try:

Reset the Printer: Sometimes, simply resetting the printer can clear error codes. Turn it off, unplug it from the power source for a few minutes, then plug it back in and turn it on.

Check Sensor and Ink Cartridges: Make sure there's nothing blocking the sensor areas. Also, check if the ink cartridges are installed properly and not causing the issue.

Update or Reinstall Printer Drivers: Outdated or corrupted printer drivers can also cause errors. Visit the HP website, download the latest drivers for your model, and install them.

You can find the detailed steps mentioned in this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_4609476-4609525-16

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
