Product: HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 All-in-One Printer

HP Officejet Pro 8720 printer is approximately 8 years old. Used for home office printing. it's been working fine to date other than the occasional paper feed issue.

 

Error Msg:  K There is a problem with the supply system. Try replacing the afffected cartridge with a different, non-empty, cartridege. If message reappears again, record message and contact HP. Rebooting and pulling plug does not fix issue.

Both HP and aftermarket K cartridges generate the same error message. 

 

Purchased and installed new print head same message generated.

 

When viewing "Estimated Cartridge Levels" the C, M and K cartridges show empty (Red Circle "-" sign). However, ALL cartridges are not empty and the K cartridge is new HP Brand cartridge. "Clean Print Head" function fails due to Error Msg above.
