HP OfficeJet 4657 All-in-One Printer

Hello, my printer showed error code 0X011A17FF DOT11_PRIVATE, then now  doesn't switch on again. I followed the classic procedure to unplug the power cord, wait...plug again....change wall socket , but nothing, just a flashlight in the display, only once the display was on showing "Error code 0XB8025E8A". What means this code???

Thanks.

Hi @Nick_R24 ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Error code 0XB8025E8A on HP printers typically indicates a hardware issue or a problem with the firmware. Since you've already tried the basic troubleshooting steps, and the issue persists, here are a few additional steps you can take:

Reset the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect the power cord.
  • Wait for about 60 seconds.
  • Reconnect the power cord and turn on the printer.

Update Firmware:

  • Check if there's a firmware update available for your printer on the HP support website.
  • If an update is available, download and install it according to the provided instructions.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Ensure that there are no paper jams or foreign objects inside the printer that may be causing the issue.

Perform a Hard Reset:

  • Turn off the printer.
  • Disconnect the power cord from the back of the printer.
  • Disconnect any other cables connected to the printer.
  • Wait for a couple of minutes.
  • Reconnect the power cord and any other cables.
  • Turn on the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
