I have the same issue with the same machine. On the printer screen, it's BLUE (ie the blue screen of death), the error code flashes and it won't go off unless I unplug it.

The problem isn't with the printer itself, it's with the scanner. On the printer screen itself, on the machine, it's BLUE and flashing the error message. It doesn't stop and won't let you reboot it, without unplugging it to perform that task. I somehow have given 2 responses. The scanner will do this on every attempt. However, if you unplug the machine for 30 seconds and plug it back in, it does a factory reset. Then, at least one can use the printer. There is no hope for the scanner, I am afraid though. Mine was out of the 1 year warranty by about 5 months, when I called to inquire about getting help. It was suggested to buy another new one.
