My WiFi crashed, I’ve since installed a new box but since this happened I cannot use my printer. When I try to turn it on a blue screen comes up with error code B89E488C. There can’t be anything wrong with the printer because the main screen flashed up then the blue screen came back up! Please help!

@GeGe21

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help,

I understand you are not able to print due to this error. A B89E error indicates a possible hardware issue with the printer.

  • Are you able to bypass this error and access the home screen of the printer?

Kindly perform the steps mentioned in this document -  '0xc19a0003' or Similar Error Code Displays

Also, check for any paper jams inside the printer and make sure the print carriage is moving freely. Refer to - Paper Jam Error If the error persists, please reach out to the HP Technical Support team in your region regarding the service/replacement options for your printer.  You may create a case on the website to obtain a case number if required. Kindly watch this video to know-how.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
Please click “Accept as Solution” if you feel my post solved your issue, it will help others find the solution.

Have a great day ahead!
