Hello,

I found this 2022 printer in the garbage and it seems such a waste!  It connected to my wifi no problem but the last stage of setup it has an error code: UU_400_EB000U0707

Can you help with this error code?  It would be nice to bring this little printer back to life!

Thanks, Brenda

Hi @BBBiker ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It's great that you want to give the printer a second chance. The error code UU_400_EB000U0707 you're encountering on your HP LaserJet MFP M139e-142e Series printer seems to be related to a firmware update issue. Here are some steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. Sometimes, a simple restart can resolve temporary glitches.

Check Internet Connection:

  • Ensure that your printer is still connected to the Wi-Fi network. If there are any issues with the connection, try reconnecting the printer to the Wi-Fi network.

Update Firmware Manually:

  • Visit the official HP website and locate the support page for your printer model.
  • Download the latest firmware update for your printer.
  • Follow the instructions provided on the HP website to manually update the firmware.

Reset the Printer:

  • Perform a factory reset on the printer to clear any existing settings. Keep in mind that this will erase all the settings, and you'll need to set up the printer again.
  • Refer to the printer's user manual or HP's support documentation for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.

Update Firmware via USB:

  • If manual updates through the website don't work, some printers allow firmware updates via a USB connection. Check the user manual for instructions on how to do this.

Please refer to this document : HP printers - 'We're sorry, something went wrong' error (Error Code: UA_400_EB000U0004)

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
