@Tee790, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

I understand you're seeing error codes like 0XDB0436BC, 0XB8035C04, and KERNEI_EXEC_ST on your HP OfficeJet 5255 running Windows 11, along with flashing lights and the printer becoming inoperable. Let's work through this together.

Power Reset the Printer

This clears temporary memory glitches that may cause such errors.

  1. With the printer powered on, disconnect the power cable from the rear.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall and then into the printer.
  5. Turn the printer back on if it doesn't power up automatically.

Check if the error persists.

Update Firmware (if accessible)

If the printer becomes usable after reset, update the firmware to prevent recurrence:

If the Error Persists

If the error returns after reset or the printer remains unresponsive:

  • Try connecting the printer via USB to check if it becomes responsive.

I hope the information shared has been useful and resolves your concern.

Wishing you a smooth and hassle-free experience ahead!
