Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printer is brand new HP Envy 6032e - HP Smart set up done using mobile HP Smart - them HP Smart set up repeated on desktop Windows 10 PC.

PC printing works fine through PC Word/Excel/HP Smart and also through Mobile phone.

When I open .jpg picture on desktop (Windows 10) in Serif Photoplus X7 - select PRINT (printer is there).

Select PRINT.

Select either Full Page or Image Size print.

Printer makes noise as if initialising the print, then nothing.

Check and there is error item in print queue.

Cannot find an error message to look up so have to delete item from queue.

Any ideas welcomed - PLEASE

Thanks for response. Having searched and found SERIF x7 was no longer "supported" I decided to give up and I bought a new HP ENVY 3032e and scrapped the old printer, it did good for a few years and owed me nothing. So all good now, thanks

I understand you’re dealing with a communication issue between Serif PhotoPlus X7 and your HP ENVY 6032e printer. Here are some steps to troubleshoot and hopefully resolve the issue:

 

Check Printer Drivers:

  • Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers for your ENVY 6032e printer.

Update Serif PhotoPlus X7:

  • Make sure Serif PhotoPlus X7 is updated to its latest version. Updates often include bug fixes that might resolve compatibility issues.

Set Printer as Default:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners and make sure your HP ENVY 6032e is set as the default printer.

Check Print Preferences in Serif PhotoPlus X7:

  • Go to the print settings within Serif PhotoPlus X7 and ensure that the correct printer is selected and that the settings match what you want to print.

Clear Print Queue:

  • Sometimes, clearing the print queue can resolve issues. Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your HP ENVY 6032e printer, select See what's printing, and then cancel any pending jobs.

Printer Communication Check:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your network or PC. Since you mentioned it works fine with other applications, this might not be the issue, but it's worth double-checking.

Try Printing from Another Application:

  • To confirm if the issue is specific to Serif PhotoPlus X7, try printing a different file from another application to see if the problem persists.

Reinstall Serif PhotoPlus X7:

  • If none of the above steps work, try uninstalling and then reinstalling Serif PhotoPlus X7. This can sometimes resolve underlying issues with the software.
