Hi @Jon91,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your frustration. Before you decide to discard the printer, let's try a few more troubleshooting steps to see if we can resolve the issue. The error code 75 on HP printers typically indicates a problem with the paper feed or paper path. Here are some steps you can take.

Check Paper Tray:

  • Make sure the paper in the tray is not wrinkled, curled, or damaged.
  • Ensure that the paper guides are adjusted correctly to fit the size of the paper.

Inspect Paper Path:

  • Open all doors and covers to inspect the paper path for any obstructions or torn pieces of paper.
  • Use a flashlight to get a better view inside the printer.

Reset Paper Tray:

  • Remove the paper from the tray and then reinsert it.
  • Make sure the paper is properly loaded and not exceeding the maximum capacity.

Check for Sensor Issues:

  • Look for any paper sensors or flags within the paper path and ensure they are not stuck or obstructed.
  • Gently move any movable parts to ensure they are free and not jammed.

Firmware Update:

  • Check if there is a firmware update available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the firmware can resolve various issues.

Power Cycle:

  • Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, and wait for about 5 minutes. Then, plug it back in and turn it on.

Factory Reset:

  • If possible, perform a factory reset on the printer. Refer to the printer's user manual for instructions on how to do this.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
