Hi @Lesliep2,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.
The HP printer error B8082796 typically appears when trying to print from a mobile device (like a phone or tablet), and it’s often related to connectivity or communication issues between the device and the printer
Here are some steps you can try:
1. Restart Everything
- Turn off your printer, phone, and Wi-Fi router.
- Wait 30 seconds, then turn them all back on.
2. Check Printer Status
- Make sure the printer is on, connected to Wi-Fi, and not in sleep mode.
- If your printer has a touchscreen, check the Wi-Fi icon to confirm it's connected.
3. Update the HP Smart App
- Go to the App Store or Google Play Store and update the HP Smart app to the latest version.
4. Reinstall the Printer
- In the HP Smart app, remove the printer and then re-add it.
- Make sure your phone and printer are on the same Wi-Fi network.
5. Check for Firmware Updates
- On the printer, go to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Update Printer (or similar) to check for firmware updates.
6. Use HP Print Service Plugin (Android only)
- If you're on Android, ensure the HP Print Service Plugin is installed and enabled.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
