Everytime I try to print it gives an error message that reads “tray empty or open” but there is paper and there is no t tray open, does anyone happen to know how to fix this issue? I tried the reset where you unplug and plug back in after 1 min, no fix. Tried opening all trays and closing and it didn’t help so I’m not sure what to do.

Hi @Lorrw5,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I understand that you are getting a Paper tray open error. I'd like to help!
Please follow the steps below.
Check the paper, and then reload it
Check the paper stack for defects such as wrinkled, torn, or bent pieces that might cause a pick-up issue.
Remove any paper from the paper tray.
Remove any severely bent, wrinkled, or torn paper found in the stack.
Check for obstructions inside the paper tray. Make sure nothing blocks the paper from engaging with the rollers.
Make sure the paper stack is even on all sides.
Load the stack of paper into the paper tray.
Close or push in the paper tray.
Select the correct paper size on the printer control panel or in the printer software.
Refer to the document here for the remaining steps.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
