Started the printer to install new ink cartridges, no poeblem, after prinf alignment it casme up Ink Acess ddor is open when it is shut.? please help

Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that you are getting ink access door open error message. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

 

Close the cartridge door completely.

Check the cartridge door for obstructions.

Reset the product.

  1. Press the Power button () to turn on the product.

  2. Disconnect the USB cable from the back of the product.

  3. Disconnect the power cord from the electrical outlet.

  4. Disconnect the power cord from the product.

  5. Wait 30 seconds.

  6. Reconnect the power cord to the electrical outlet.

  7. Reconnect the power cord to the product.

  8. Press the Power button () to turn on the product.

Click here and refer the document to perform the above steps.

Hi Sandy,  Well I'm afraid that didnt work, So the instruction say service the beast, but is it worth the price of a sevice or just buy a nw machine ?

Update the printer firmware to fix this issue.

Click here and refer the document to update the printer firmware.

Hi Sandy, i did as i was asked and updated the firmware, but it is still the same result. Ink Access door open. I also did the rest again just to check, and nothing

Thanks for the response.

As you have tried all the steps and still the issue persists.

Perform semi full rest on the printer, which will reset all the settings on the printer to factory defaults.

 

I am sending you a private message with the steps to reset the printer. Please check the mailbox icon at the top-right corner of this screen.

Please check your Private message icon on the upper right corner of your HP Forums profile,

Next, to your profile Name, you should see a little blue envelope, please click on it.

Please reply back on the public post as this Private message box is not monitored.

I hope this helps resolve this issue completely.

As you have already tried these steps and still having the issue, I would personally suggest you contact our HP phone support for further assistance. If your product is Out of warranty then remember to choose the paid options to get the tech support number.

 

They might have multiple options to help you on this.

 

Please use the following link to create yourself a case number, then call and it may help speed up the call process:

Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

Step 2. Enter Product number or select to auto detect

Step 3. Scroll down to "Still need help? Complete the form to select your contact options"

Step 4. Scroll down and click: HP contact options - click on Get phone number and phone number appear.

They will be happy to assist you immediately.
