Product: HP ENVY 7640 e-All-in-One Printer

Error message "filter" failed. HP Envy All-in-One 7640 now won't print from my computer, after upgrading MacBook Pro to Sonoma 14.2.1.

Same deal with Envy 4502 after installing driver on my new iMac using Sonoma 14.2.1 

 

Prints only partial to half a page then print queue shows this error. 

 

Seems like this has been an ongoing HP failure since at least 2019. Why don't they fix this?
