Hi @Murletta,

 Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you are experiencing issues with setting up your HP Smart Tank 210 printer and are seeing an error directing you to hpinstantink.com, it indicates a problem with connecting to HP's Instant Ink service or finding the printer on the network. Here’s a comprehensive guide to resolve this issue:

1. Verify Network Connection

Confirm Network Details

  • Ensure that both your printer and the device you’re using (computer or mobile) are connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Verify that your network is stable and that there are no connectivity issues.

Check Printer Connection:

  • Print a network configuration page from the printer's control panel to confirm that the printer is connected to the correct network.

2. Restart Devices

Restart Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, wait for about 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.

Restart Router:

  • Restart your Wi-Fi router to refresh the network connections.

Restart Your Device:

  • Restart the device (computer, tablet, or smartphone) that you’re using to set up the printer.

3. Check Printer Status

Ensure Printer is Ready:

  • Make sure that the printer is not displaying any error messages or warning lights. The printer should be in a ready state with no blinking lights or error codes.

Use HP Smart App:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device.
  • If you haven’t installed it yet, download it from the App Store or Google Play Store.

4. Setup Printer Using HP Smart App

Add Printer:

  • In the HP Smart app, select + or Add Printer to find and set up your printer.
  • The app should automatically search for printers on the same network.

Follow On-Screen Instructions:

  • Follow the prompts to complete the setup process. Ensure you select the correct network and enter the necessary credentials.

5. Manual Printer Setup

Access Printer’s IP Address:

  • Print a network configuration page from the printer.
  • Locate the printer’s IP address on the configuration page.

Use IP Address for Setup:

  • Enter the printer’s IP address into a web browser to access the printer’s embedded web server (EWS).
  • Configure network settings or troubleshoot any issues directly from the EWS.

      I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
