HP9125e officejet printer will not start.  Event code CB.04.BD.0B.  Multiple power downs, surge protector bypass, etc. will not clear.  At this stage, ready to replace as that will be less hassle.  Please advise if you can.

Hi @gsox, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code CB.04.BD.0B on your HP OfficeJet Pro 9125e typically indicates a hardware issue, often related to the printer’s internal circuitry or a communication fault.
Please try these steps,
Reset the Printer:

  • With the printer powered on, disconnect the power cable from both the printer and the power outlet.
  • Hold the power button down for 30 seconds to drain residual power.
  • Reconnect everything, and then attempt to power the printer on.

Firmware Update:

  • Sometimes a firmware issue can cause persistent errors. If you can access the printer’s settings or connect to the HP Smart app, check for any available firmware updates.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
