Welcome to the HP Forums, this is a great location to get assistance! I read your post and see that your printer prints twice every time you print. I would like to help you resolve this issue.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

  • When did this issue start?
  • Did you do any hardware or software changes?
  • How is the printer connected to computer, wired or wireless?

Meanwhile

Please try the steps recommended below.

On your PC search control panel, open control panel, Select printer properties, Select the "number of copies" it must be set to 2 change it to 1 and check if it helps.

Also, Right click your HP printer icon in devices and printer -> select Printer Properties -> select Ports -> uncheck 'enable bidirectional support'. -> APPLY

If the issue still persists uninstall the printer software from your PC and install the latest printer drivers.

Please update the printer drivers using this link.

Let me know how it goes.

Cheers.

Hi sandytechy20,

It is not just my laptop that it prints double of everything, it also does it with my wifes laptop. It started a few months ago, but I haven't reloaded the software in my or my wifes laptops, my daughter doesn't seem to have the same problem, but she did reload her printer driver around the time that it started. The printer is wireless.

In the meantime I will try your recommended steps.
