Hi @Michelle201612,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
A flashing exclamation mark on the HP LaserJet M110w printer usually indicates an issue that needs attention. Since you've already replaced the toner and restarted the printer, try the following steps:
Check for Error Messages
- If you see an orange exclamation mark along with another symbol (like a paper or Wi-Fi icon), that may indicate a specific problem such as:
- Paper Jam – Check inside the printer for stuck paper.
- Toner Issue – Ensure the toner cartridge is correctly installed.
- Wi-Fi Issue – If the printer is not connected to the network, try reconnecting.
Reinsert the Toner Cartridge
- Turn off the printer.
- Remove the toner cartridge.
- Shake it gently to distribute the toner.
- Reinsert it properly and ensure it clicks into place.
- Turn the printer back on.
Reset the Printer
- Turn off the printer.
- Unplug the power cable for 2–3 minutes.
- Plug it back in and turn it on.
Check the Printer’s Status from HP Smart App
- If connected via Wi-Fi or USB, open the HP Smart app on your PC or phone.
- Look for any error messages related to the printer.
- If necessary, remove the printer from HP Smart and re-add it.
Perform a Factory Reset
- Press and hold the Wi-Fi button and Cancel (X) button for 10-15 seconds.
- Wait for the printer to restart.
- Reconnect it to Wi-Fi using WPS or HP Smart App.

Update Firmware & Drivers
- Go to HP Support and download the latest firmware and drivers for your HP LaserJet M110w.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
