Plenty of advice on a search on Youtube. A small internal solenoid ( a mechanical switch ) has stuck. Really simple cheap fix a child can do it, but adults get stuck taking things apart and putting them back together, really like LEGO. Don't help but really simple to do with just one screwdriver. Due to age a small piece of foam 2mmx 5mm has deteriorated and fell off, just leaving the sticky glue residue to stay behind and cause the "stick"As mentioned tons on YouTube.
