@Serjios, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding an error message!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I see you’re facing a "Cannot Print – Expired Certificate" error on your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M277dw. No worries, I’ll help you get this sorted!

This issue usually happens due to an expired self-signed certificate used for secure communication. Here are some steps to resolve it:

Try This First:

Restart the Printer & Network

  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • Restart your router.
  • Wait for 30 seconds, then power the printer back on.

Update Printer Firmware

  • Go to HP Support → HP Software & Driver Downloads
  • Enter your printer model and download the latest firmware update.
  • Install it on the printer and restart it.

Regenerate the Certificate (If Using Secure Print Features)

  • Open a web browser and type your printer’s IP address (Find it in the printer’s network settings).
  • Navigate to Networking → Security → Certificates.
  • Delete the expired certificate and create a new self-signed certificate.

Check Printing Settings

  • On your computer, go to Control Panel → Devices and Printers.
  • Right-click your HP printer and select Printer Properties.
  • Under the Ports tab, ensure you’re not using a secure HTTPS port unless necessary.

A Few Quick Questions to Narrow It Down:

Are you trying to print over a network (Wi-Fi) or USB?
Have you recently updated your computer or printer firmware?
Are you using any third-party security software or firewall that might be blocking secure communication?

Try the steps above and let me know how it goes! If the issue persists, we can dig deeper. 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!
