The printer was working fine. Since some days I have extra black lines with a spacing of about 27mm on some pages – see image. I have changed already the black ink cartridge and done all the suggested tasks like cleaning print heads, etc..

Any ideas what could be the issue?Printer_issue.jpg

What about internal printer pages from the printers menu do they have those lines too. This could be something driver/computer related.

A copy produced by the printer shows similar lines  (no lines on the original page!). On the status-page there are less lines.Printer_issue#2.jpg

It could be that some amount of dirt is on the printhead and it's leaving (scraping) marks on the paper.

Use some texts software to write a few words in red print it if you have black lines clean the printer, if there are no lines when printing in red only then your printhead failed.

Ok – there are no black lines when printing the text in red, blue or yellow.

Back in b/w mode there now nearly no extra lines – meaning there could be some amount of dirt on the printhead as expected by you.

How could I clean the printhead manually – cleaning with the maintenance tool I have done already twice. Is it possible to change the printhead myself – or does it make no sense for a 5 year old printer?

If there are no lines when printing in red, that makes your printhead start failing.
