Problem looked like ink cartridge alignment as Color won't exactly converge with BW print. Resulting in a bottom shadow. This makes the printout appear blurry.  See photo attached.  This even happens in stand-alone photocopying.  Copying a COLORED document or picture  exhibit such blurry printout.  However, photocopying a BW document or picture will produce a clear and sharp printout.  Tried aligning the cartridge and the result is still the same.   Even printing a colored document from the computer shows the same problem.  A totally BW document will be sharp and clear!  Hope someone can help. thanks.HP Align page.jpg

@Aquarius2020, Welcome to HP Support Community!

If you have already performed the steps from the document Printed Images Are Fuzzy, Blurry, Jagged, Patchy, or Grainy and the issue persists, it could be a hardware failure.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region regarding the service options for your printer.

Hope this helps!

I did the troubleshoot, paper, align cartridge, suggestions already before coming up with the  attached alignment printout result.  You will notice the color print is not exactly converging with the black.  This results in what appears like a blur.  Is there anyway to manually "RESET" the printer to compensate for this slight misalignment?   A Cartridge problem?

Thanks and hope to hear from you again.

@Aquarius2020

We have already suggested all the possible troubleshooting steps, however, you can try replacing the ink to see if that helps.

Keep me posted.
