Did a reset to be able to get my Microsoft Windows 10 computer to also print. Then I got a message in the printer that it was no longer enrolled in Instant Ink. Now I can’t print anything bc it says I have to enroll in Instant Ink to use my cartridges. Tried turning off web services and back on again but the printer code it gave wasn’t accepted. Tried again and I couldn’t even get the page with the code to print anything. I installed regular HP cartridges so that I can print and then it spit out 20 sheets with printer codes, none of which will work

I have a similar situation with a refurbed HP 7155 printer. It arrived and I put in the new HP ink carts and all went well and it works as new(I was impressed) intil I started to switch the printer over to my instant ink acc`t . HP instant inks wants a claim code which it wouldn`t accept from the printer , tried 12 different ones that the printer spit out but none accepted. Seems once the orig user enters a code , it sticks permanently.
Any way It`s on it`s way back for a refund.

My printer is the same I’ve had for months. I had followed the instructions HP had for getting my windows computer to reconnect but it seems to have reset my printer somehow. Now it’s like it is a new printer. My HP account shows the same printer and serial number but the printer won’t connect to HP to let me use the instant ink cartridges anymore

Welcome to HP Support Community
I would like to help
Please ensure the printer has the latest Firmware https://support.hp.com/in-en/document/c02919168
Also assign a Manual IP Address and try connecting to Instant Ink Again
- Print a Network Config Page from the printer. Note the printer's IP address.
- Type that IP address into a browser to reveal the printer's internal settings.
- Choose the Networking tab, then Wireless along the left side, then the IPv4 tab.
- On this screen you want to set a Manual IP. You need to set an IP address outside the range that the router automatically sets (called the DHCP range). If you do not know the range, change the last set of numbers (those after the last '.') to 250
- Use 255.255.255.0 for the subnet (unless you know it is different, if so, use that)
- Enter your router's IP (on the Network Config Page) for the gateway.
- Enter 8.8.8.8 for the first DNS and 8.8.4.4 for the second DNS. This is Google DNS.
- Click 'Apply'.
Next Disable and Enable Web service again
Thank you
