After some 20 weeks of purchasing my HP Smart Tank, with only private home use, it failed and after support from HP support, I am now in receipt of a replacement printer, with the faulty one being collected by courier next week.
HP want the faulty printer returned without cables, ink etc., but it is a Smart Tank, in which the bottled ink has been installed. You’ll also realise that I now have no ink to put in the replacement printer.
A HP Support worker told me to syringe the ink out of the faulty machine, which I’m finding impossible, not least because I don’t have the odd syringe lying around the house!
Is it me or are HP being ‘unreasonable’ in not realising that with Smart Tank style printers you can’t remove the ink, as you can with Ink Cartridges or Laser Cartridges.
Has anyone had the same problem please? Thanks
