HP 1320 laser jet printer

Hello Product HP LaserJet 1320 printer

The print cartridge door is failing to close completely. The problem appears to be on the left side, where there is sensor mechanism. I have tried to re-sit the mechanism to no effect. When I power the printer on, a flashing orange   " attention" light

comes on.

Please help. Is there a way to get around this problem?

Thank you

Have you removed the side cover where the mechanism is?

If you didn't install the side cover properly then the mechanism will not allow the cartridge door to be closed. You can also remove side mechanism, the printer will work fine.

Hi Yes it worked. The side cover was not sitting properly. Thank you Valsimot for your expert advise.
