Hi , i'm going to try in my best english to explain my issue.
since today i got my new printer deliverd, and after installing it all, i also got the HP smart app installed and it's working perfectly, but.....
i have some files that the HP smart app doesn't support, how can i change this.
files i would love to be able to print are Excell and Word files *.XLS , *. XLSX , *. DOC and *.DOCX
is this even possible to be able to print or do i need to put them first in pdf format before being able to print them.

Thank you for showing your interest in HP Support Forums. It is a great place to find the help you need, from other users, HP experts, and other support personnel. I see from your post that you are having issues related to HP Smart App on Windows 10. Don't worry I'll be glad to assist you.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Did you install the full feature software on the PC?
Have you tried to print from other applications?
As you have mentioned in your post that you are having issues printing word and excel files using HP Smart app on Windows 10, This app only support printing in PDF or pictures. In order to print from Word or excel, I would suggest here is to install the full feature software for the printer on this PC.
First, unplug the USB cable from the printer / PC.
Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Deskjet printer entries and uninstall them.
Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
Press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" (There is a space between .exe & /) and press enter.
Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
Again, go to the Run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
Restart your computer.
Now click on this link: https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers (Please enter the product number and then select the Operating system and version of Windows before downloading and installing the printer software).
Connect the USB cable only while prompted and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the installation.
Now try to print and check.
Could you please respond to this post with the details and with the results of the troubleshooting as this will help me in further assisting you.
Eagerly waiting for your response!
that said, If the information I've provided was helpful,

Hi,
Is it an Apple iPad?
For Apple iOS, the following formats are supported:
Photos (JPEG, PNG), PDF and Microsoft Office Suite documents (doc, docx, xls, xlsx, ppt, pptx), text (TXT) files, and saved webpages.
If this is an Android device, office documents are not supported by HP Smart, as described within the Print a document section in the below support document:
