Hi all, where do you submit HP firmware bugs?  The issue is that the printer firmware is specifying the hostname in DHCP option 81 and does not specify it in option 12. As such, our DHCP scope doesn't have hostnames for this printer model.

BROKEN
Option: (81) Client Fully Qualified Domain Name Length: 12 Flags: 0x05, Encoding, Server A-RR result: 0 PTR-RR result: 0 Client name: PRT08537

WORKING

Option: (81) Client Fully Qualified Domain Name Length: 21 Flags: 0x01, Server A-RR result: 0 PTR-RR result: 0 Client name: CLSBB387P.ourdomain.edu

What needs to change in the firmware is that it needs to specify the printer hostname in DHCP option 12 or do it correctly in option 81. Where do I submit this bug? Thanks.

I have escalated your post to the moderators but have also forwarded this to my contacts on the Dealer Support side asking them to forward to the firmware team to confirm.

One question: are you running the latest revision of firmware on the device?
