Hi @Amy-spalding ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are getting A flashing "E" code and a blinking Wi-Fi symbol on the HP ENVY Pro 6455 All-in-One Printer usually indicates an issue with the printer's wireless connection or configuration. Here's how you can resolve this step-by-step:

1. Understand the Error

  • The flashing "E" typically means an error with the printer setup or connection.
  • The blinking Wi-Fi symbol shows the printer is trying to connect to the wireless network.

2. Check Printer Status

  • Ensure the printer is powered on and there are no paper jams or low ink warnings.
  • Look for any messages on the HP Smart app if it's already set up.

3. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings

Resetting the printer's network settings can help clear any incorrect configurations:

  1. Power on the printer.
  2. Press and hold the Wireless button and the Cancel button simultaneously for 5 seconds.
  3. The Wi-Fi light should blink, indicating the printer is in setup mode.

4. Reconnect the Printer to Wi-Fi

Use the HP Smart app to reconnect the printer:

  1. Download/Update the HP Smart app on your phone or PC.
  2. Open the app and click on Add Printer.
  3. Follow the prompts to connect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.
  4. If prompted, enter your Wi-Fi password.
  • Ensure that the device you are using is on the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer to connect to.

5. Restart the Printer and Router

  • Power off the printer and unplug your router for 60 seconds.
  • Power them back on and try reconnecting.

6. Verify the Connection

  • Once connected, the Wi-Fi symbol on the printer should become steady.
  • Print a test page to confirm functionality.

7. If the Issue Persists

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
