Welcome to HP forums, I see that information light is flashing.

I am eager to assist you.

However, I will need a few details to provide an accurate solution,

  • Are you getting any error message on the computer when the it blinks?
  • Is the printer connected directly to wall outlet?

Reply with the above requested information for further assistance.

Cheers.

Thanks for the reply.

I appreciate your time and effort.

Make sure the ink cartridges are correctly installed

  1. If the printer is off, turn on the printer.

  2. Open the ink cartridge access door.

The carriage moves to the center of the printer. Wait until the carriage is idle and silent before continuing.

Open the ink cartridge acesss door

  3. Lightly press down on the ink cartridge to release it, and then pull the ink cartridge out of its slot.

    Image: Remove the ink cartridge

       CAUTION:

Do not touch the copper-colored contacts or the ink nozzles. Touching these parts can result in clogs, ink failure, and bad electrical connections.

  4. Remove any protective tape that still might be on the contacts.

       CAUTION:

Do not try to remove the copper electrical strip.

  5. Hold the ink cartridge by its sides with the nozzles toward the printer, and then insert the ink cartridge into its proper slot.

    • Insert the black ink cartridge into the right slot.

    • Insert the tri-color ink cartridge into the left slot.

Image: Snap the ink cartridge into place

  6. Push the ink cartridge forward into its slot until it snaps into place.

  7. Repeat these steps to replace the other ink cartridge, if necessary.

  8. Close the ink cartridge access door.

Close the ink cartridge access door

 Update printer firmware

  1. Download the printer firmware update utility.
  2. Firmware update Utility (Windows)

  3. Open the firmware update utility.

  4. When the HP Printer Update window opens, see if the printer serial number displays.

    • If the name of your printer displays, select the name of your printer, and then click Continue.

    • If the serial number displays, select the checkbox next to it, and then click Update.

  5. Turn the printer off, and then back on again after the printer firmware has finished updating.

Let me know how it goes.

To thank me for my efforts to help you, please mark my post as an accepted solution so that it benefits several others and please give the same post a Kudos.

Cheers.
