My HP envy 600 won’t stop flashing its lights, every time I power it up. All of the lights too. The Wi-Fi/x/I/down arrow/ side lights.  Everything. Anyone know what this might be?

@Ts1244, Hello and welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your question. I'm here to help you get things back on track.

If all the lights on your HP ENVY 6000 printer are flashing when you power it on, including the Wi-Fi, Cancel (X), Information (i), Down Arrow, and edge lighting, it typically indicates a firmware or hardware error, or that the printer is stuck in an error state.

Here are some steps you can try to resolve the issue:

Power Reset the Printer

  1. With the printer powered on, unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for 60 seconds.
  4. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet directly (avoid power strips).
  5. Reconnect the power cord to the printer and turn it on.

This simple reset often clears temporary errors.

Check for Cartridge or Paper Issues

  • Open the cartridge access door and reseat both ink cartridges.
  • Check for any paper jams or obstructions inside the printer.
  • Make sure the input tray is loaded correctly with paper.

Restore Factory Defaults

If the lights continue flashing:

  1. Press and hold the Cancel (X) and Information (i) buttons together for about 5 seconds.
  2. This should restore the printer to its default settings.

Note: You may need to reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi using the HP Smart app after this step.

Use the HP Smart App

  • Open the HP Smart app on your phone or PC. HP Smart
  • Remove (hide) the printer from the app.
  • Re-add the printer and follow the setup instructions.
