I have an hour envy 7155 that cannot get past the loading screen. I have tried everything suggested in this forum that didn’t require additional personal messaging and nothing helped.  I have also tried to load additional information about the printer at HP and the site is TERRIBLE and keeps giving me errors. I’ve always owned Epson printers and purchased this based on reviews. They were wrong. This is a complete disappointment. Hoping someone responds.

Hi @Jen1308,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP Envy 7155 printer is frozen or unresponsive, you can try the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

  • Restart the Printer: The simplest step is often the most effective. Turn off the printer, unplug it from the power source, wait for about 30 seconds, and then plug it back in and turn it on.
  • Check for Paper Jams: Ensure there are no paper jams or obstructions in the printer's paper path. If there are, carefully remove the jammed paper.
  • Check Ink and Paper Levels: Make sure there is enough paper in the input tray and that the ink cartridges have sufficient ink. Replace any empty or low ink cartridges.
  • Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes, firmware updates can resolve freezing issues. You can typically find firmware updates on the HP website.
  • Reset the Printer: Some HP printers have a reset option. Check your printer's manual for instructions on how to perform a factory reset. Be aware that this will erase any custom settings.
  • Disconnect from Power: If the printer remains unresponsive, disconnect it from the power source for at least 60 seconds. This can help clear any temporary issues.
  • Check for Error Messages: Look at the printer's display for any error messages. If you see an error code or message, note it down, as it can provide clues about the problem.
  • Check for Software Conflicts: If you're trying to print from a computer, ensure that there are no software conflicts causing the issue. Restart your computer and try printing again.
  • Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your computer. Outdated or corrupted drivers can lead to printing problems.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
