Is there a life expectancy of the Printhead for this model?

Printhead part CM751

There's a string of numbers on one side of the Printhead and I know HP tends to put dates in strings of numbers and or letters to indicate things like build dates and expectation dates. I was wondering if there was a way to tell on these either expiration date or date made with general life expectancy.

I've had a few printheads go bad on me and was wondering if they are worth cleaning or if they have expired and should be replaced.

Thank you

@Slayith Welcome to HP Community!

There is no expiration date for print-head separately, only printer warranty applies to the print-head and the printer.

I'm not sure why the print-heads have failed in the past, however, it has nothing to do with the life expectancy as such.

Thank you for the warm welcome to the community and for your reply. The link for warranty information won't load for me.

I am a printer tech and a client has had more print heads "fail" than I can currently count and is demanding it is of no fault to them and for me to fork out the cost of repairs. However each device is quite old. Most of the devices show Printhead install date of 2014.

These printers are in a school and the client recently admitted that for the past two years durring the summer they haven't been doing any PMs on the device and it's only been within the past two years that they have been finding clogged printheads and this is what the client is considering as a print head failure.

Logic dictates that the glogs are due to the devices sitting unused in hot classrooms for up to 4 months. But I need more to go on and more evidence that this is the case. Meanwhile it's costing me quite a lot out of pocket to replace these feed heads.

Is there any good documentation on proper PM to avoid clogged heads or head failures that I can go over with the client to prevent more issues or to resolve myself of the replacements?

Thank you in advance
