HP OfficeJet 4658 All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I got error code 0x0005fbb6 lib_math C and so I tried to power off the printer but it wouldn't turn off, the  screen just cleared but stayed alight so I unplugged it.  When I reconnected the power cable the machine won't  now switch on!

Is this terminal or is there something that can be fixed?

@KRB_5, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

The error message you are receiving is indicative of an issue with the printer's ink system. If the standard steps of turning the printer off and unplugging it have not resolved the issue, you may want to try a few additional steps:

Reinstall Ink Cartridges:

  • Turn on the printer, and open the ink cartridge access door.
  • Wait for the carriage to stop moving.
  • Remove the cartridges and close the door.
  • Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  • After a few minutes, plug in the printer, turn it on, and reinstall the ink cartridges.

Clean the Ink Cartridge Contacts:

  • Carefully clean the contacts on the ink cartridges and in the carriage with a lint-free cloth. Ensure there is no dust or ink residue.

Firmware Update:

  • Ensure that your printer firmware is up-to-date. You can download the latest updates from the HP support website.

Reset the Printer:

  • Sometimes a reset can resolve issues. Turn the printer off and unplug it for a few minutes.

I hope this helps.

Many thanks for your reply. I did try unplugging but I think something has happened to the whole thing as it wouldn’t ’wake up’ again when I plugged it back in.  So reluctantly I’ve invested in a new one.
