HELP
I have a deskjet 3700 and I'm trying to print stickers.
I'm using glossy photo sticker paper, and my prints are coming out "grainy"
I am using high quality graphics exported to PDF from Adobe Illustrator, so I don't think quality of my graphics is the problem.
By "grainy" I mean I can see light tiny dots throughout my prints, especially on darker colors. Now I know that inkjet printers use tiny dots of cmyk to print, so my question is, is my printer just very cheap and that's why my prints are bad? Ive also tried to get a "rich black" using quite a few different cmyk settings, with very very small changes. The blacks still come out light and "grainy." I have also tried a few color management settings for my printer with little change. I am willing to purchase a higher quality printer, but I want to make sure that is the case and not user error.

Welcome to HP Support Forums!
I see from your post that you're having issues with print quality while printing stickers on your HP DeskJet printer. No worries, I'll be glad to help you.
To provide you with an accurate solution, I'll need a few more details:
Are you having issues only while printing stickers on glossy photo paper or even while printing on regular plain paper.
Are you trying to print on normal mode or best mode.
What happen when you try to make a copy from the printer or print a self test page from the printer?
In the meantime, let's try these steps here:
Perform a Hard reset on the printer and make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.
With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
Remove USB cable, if present.
Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
Let’s first try and make a “photocopy” to determine whether the issue is with the printer or not. Place a document on the scanner glass and choose “Copy” option. If the printer is making a good copy, then the printer hardware is fine.
If the copy comes out bad, then I would suggest you follow the steps suggested in the support document for - HP DeskJet 3700 Printers - Fixing Poor Print Quality
Please let me know if this resolves the issue, or if you require further assistance!
Eagerly waiting for your response!
