Printer turns itself on and prints message about every 4 minutes, if I turn printer off it will turn itself back on.  I have to unplug it from the outlet.  It will print documents normally.

I am having a similar problem. It started about a month ago after replacing black ink cartridges.  The HOST: local host, GET messages started printing on both my printers randomly.  The laptop is a HP Probook 4545S with Windows 10 pro with all updates installed. One printer is a HP Deskjet 5940 and the other printer is a Deskjet 6940 both connected via USB.  I turned off the status print function on the spooler, I reset the printers multiple times. I stopped the spooler and restarted it.  I restarted the PC. I ran the HP Support AP and tested everything.   It is wasting lots of paper and ink and interfers with regular print jobs.

Changing to window 10 generic printer driver instead of HP driver fixed it for me.
