Hi,

 

I put a new HP 304 black ink cartridge in my HP Deskjet 2600 today. Upon inserting it and printing off the test sheet, it came up with a message on the screen that insinuates that 'the printer door is open'. I have tried all of the 'fixes' indicated as per the HP website, including the reset. It hasn't worked. Can someone please help?

Can you make a copy?

If the printer can copy then your computer is wrongly interpreting open print door message, that happens on a Win 10 computers. If you can copy then try to restart print spooler to see will that help? You can find instructions on how to restart print spooler on win 10 on google.
