Hi @Deku

1) Are you trying to reset the Wi-Fi Direct password or the EWS password?

2) Can you send us a picture of the screen asking you to enter the password?

In the meantime, try resetting the printer network to defaults and re-connect the printer to your network -

Network Restore - Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.

If the router has a WPS push button, try these steps -

1) Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for more than three seconds to start WPS push mode. The Wireless light starts blinking.
2) Press the WPS button on your router.
NOTE: THE MOMENT YOU PRESS THE WIRELESS BUTTON ON YOUR PRINTER, WITHIN 30 SECONDS YOU SHOULD PRESS THE WPS BUTTON ON THE ROUTER.

If this step is not successful, then we need to first connect the printer to a computer using a USB and then convert the wired connection to wireless as the printer does not have a control panel to enter the Wi-Fi password.

The printer is specifically an HP 2620 if that makes a difference.

I am trying to set up the printer using the HP Smart app on my iPhone. After connecting the printer to the wifi network, I get a message saying: Enter printer password to continue setup. I tried to make this password the same as my wifi password but apparently made a typo. Now I can't access the printer at all to complete setup. This is what I would like help with reseting, the printer's password.

Have you tried the network restore on the printer?

Can you send us a picture of the password prompt?

I noticed that you phone is in the airplane mode. Could you connect the phone and your printer to the same network and try again?

Try the default password - 123456788.

Or, you may also print the network configuration page and look for a Wi-Fi Direct or a Wireless Direct password. To print a Network Configuration page - From the printer control panel, press the Wireless button and the Information button together to print the network configuration page.

If the issue still persists, try network restore on the printer as suggested in my first post and re-setup the printer.

My phone is connected to the network, it's just in airplane mode to avoid phone service. The default password is not working. I've connected the printer to the same network as my phone several times as I attempt setup. I really just want to reset the printer to its original factory settings when it did not have a password. There ought to be some way to do this. Trying to put a password on the printer has been the source of my problem from the beginning.

Try this reset on the printer - Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.
