Hi @Scargator,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the error code you're getting on the printer!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

The error 0XB039E5A0 on your HP OfficeJet 2620 printer is typically related to firmware issues, ink cartridge problems, or a system error. Try the following troubleshooting steps in order:

Power Reset the Printer (Basic Reset)

  1. Turn off the printer using the Power button.
  2. Disconnect the power cord from the printer and the wall outlet.
  3. Wait for 2-3 minutes to discharge residual power.
  4. Plug the power cord directly into the wall outlet (avoid surge protectors).
  5. Turn on the printer and check if the error persists.

Check for Paper Jams or Obstructions

  1. Open the printer’s front cover and inspect for any paper jams.
  2. Remove any jammed paper carefully.
  3. Close the cover and restart the printer.

Remove and Reinstall Ink Cartridges

  1. Turn on the printer and open the cartridge access door.
  2. Wait until the carriage moves to the center.
  3. Remove the ink cartridges (both black and tricolor).
  4. Clean the cartridge contacts using a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.
  5. Let them dry, then reinstall the cartridges and close the access door.

Perform a Semi-Full Reset (Advanced Reset)

A semi-full reset restores factory settings and clears most errors.

  1. Turn off the printer.
  2. Press and hold the following buttons simultaneously:
    • Power button
    • Cancel button (X)
  3. While holding the buttons, turn on the printer and release the buttons after 10 seconds.
  4. The printer should restart—check if the error is cleared.

Update Firmware

  1. Visit HP’s official support website.
  2. Enter your printer model (HP OfficeJet 2620) and download the latest firmware update.
  3. Run the update and restart the printer.
