Hi @jrhjrhjrh ,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Certainly! If your HP DeskJet 2700 All-in-One Printer is not printing documents from your MacBook Pro running Ventura OS, despite showing as idle, there are several steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Check Printer Connection: Ensure that your printer is properly connected to your MacBook Pro. If you are using a USB connection, make sure the cable is securely plugged into both the printer and your computer. If you are using a wireless connection, ensure that the printer is connected to the same network as your MacBook.

Restart Devices: Restart both your MacBook Pro and the HP DeskJet 2700 printer. This can help refresh the connection and resolve temporary issues.

Verify Printer Queue: Check the print queue on your MacBook to see if there are any pending print jobs. If there are, try canceling them and then try printing again.

Update Printer Drivers: Ensure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your MacBook Pro. Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your specific printer model.

Check Printer Status on Mac: Open the "Printers & Scanners" settings on your MacBook Pro. Select your HP DeskJet 2700 from the list and make sure that it is set as the default printer. Also, check if the printer status is online.

Reset Printing System: In the "Printers & Scanners" settings, you can reset the printing system. This will remove all printers from your system, and you'll need to add them again. To do this, right-click on the list of printers and select "Reset printing system."

Reinstall Printer Software: Uninstall the printer software on your MacBook Pro and then reinstall it. Follow the instructions provided by HP for installing the printer software on your macOS.

Check for macOS Updates: Ensure that your MacBook Pro is running the latest version of Ventura OS. Check for macOS updates and install any available updates.

Firewall and Security Software: Check if any firewall or security software on your MacBook Pro is blocking communication with the printer. Temporarily disable such software and see if it resolves the issue.

HP Print and Scan Doctor: HP provides a tool called "HP Print and Scan Doctor" that can help diagnose and resolve printing issues. Download and run this tool to troubleshoot any potential problems.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.-
