i am using a 2012 MacBook pro with catalina 10.15
i have not been able to print color with my new HP 2752e. If you print test page or diagnostics color prints. When i try and print anything other than my hp printer info it is printing in black and white gray scale.
if i use my cannon pixma printer i can print in color and i have the ability to see and choose color or grayscale print.
when using the HP printer you can not see or have options to print in color or grayscale.
it scans color or black/ white fine, it also copies and prints color from the printer.
i can not find the option for printing grayscale or not in the printer settings with the HP2752e
i do however have those options when printing from my cannon printer which im trying to eliminate so i only i have 1 printer vs 2.
thanks in advance for the help.

Hi @bikeman5,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I'd like to help!
I understand you are unable to print in color.
To assist better- What's the application you are trying to print from? Have you tried printing from a different application or device?
Meanwhile, try the below suggestions
Try updating mac and printer firmware
To update the printer's firmware, refer - HP Printers - Updating or Upgrading Printer Firmware
To update Mac, try these steps - How to update the software on your Mac
Try the steps in the document - Print Quality Issues
Check the print settings and make sure the 'Black and white' box is not checked.
Also, refer to -the HP print settings guide (Windows, Mac)
If the issue persists, try to add the printer using AirPrint drivers
You may also add the AirPrint printer to the Mac printer queue
Add the Air Print printer to the Mac printer queue
Confirm you are using Air Print by adding the printer in System Preferences.
- Click the Apple menu, click System Preferences, and then click Print & Scan or Printers & Scanners.
- Check if your printer name displays in the Printers list, and then do one of the following steps.
- If your printer is listed, remove and re-add the printer to confirm it is set up for Air Print. Click the printer name, click the minus sign "-" to delete the printer, click the plus sign "+"click Add Printer or Scanner, click the printer name and then continue to the next step.
- If your printer is not listed, click the plus sign, click Add Printer or Scanner, click the name of your printer, and then continue to the next step.
- Confirm Air Print or Secure Air Print displays in the Use or Print Using menu, and then click Add.
- Open a document or photo, click File, and then click Print.
