@UNAlreadyTakeN, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding Shortcut Issues on HP Officejet 5252 Printer!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

If shortcuts for your HP Officejet 5252 printer have stopped working after updating firmware or reinstalling the driver, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Verify Driver and Software Installation: Ensure that you have the latest driver and software installed for your printer. You can check for updates and download firmware by visiting the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Uninstall the existing printer drivers from your computer.
  • Restart your computer after the uninstallation.
  • Reinstall the latest drivers obtained from the HP support website.

Check Default Printer Settings:

  • Make sure that your HP Officejet 5252 is set as the default printer.
  • You can verify this by navigating to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners. Check if your printer is marked as the default printer.

Update Windows:

  • Ensure that your Windows 11 is up to date. Update your system by searching for and opening Check for updates in Windows.

Check for Application Conflicts:

  • Sometimes third-party applications can interfere with printer operations. Check if any newly installed applications may be causing conflicts.

Hope this helps!

Take care, and have an amazing day!
