Hi @svra52,
Welcome to HP Forums, this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips, Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
I understand you are getting a '0x' error message on your HP 5525 printer. I'll be really glad to help you with this,
Please try these steps here:
Please make sure that the printer is connected directly to the wall outlet and not to the surge protector.
Remove all the ink cartridges and then try to perform a hard reset on the printer.
* With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
* Remove USB cable, if present.
* Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
* Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
* Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle.
* Now insert the ink cartridges and then try to print a test page and check if it works.
Next thing, I would suggest here is to check for the latest firmware update, if available for your HP printer, using this website.
Next step, I would suggest is to follow the steps suggested in the support document for - Print head Problem, Ink System Failure, '0x...' Error Displays - Click here
I hope this helps, let me know how it goes for further assistance. I'll be more than happy to help.

I've tried all the suggested fixes. Had a paper jam, but all clear now. Printer window reads C4eba341, icons flashing. I don't think the ink carriage is working correctly, but nothing else works either! Had this problem once before, I left it unplugged for days and then it worked. I've tried installing drivers, etc., but I can only download - can't install. Thank you for any help you can send me.
